To support early career scientists in the field of respiratory virus infections, ESWI has launched an award recognizing the most promising body of work. Open to early career scientists worldwide, the competition is judged and reviewed by ESWI board members.
Named in honour of Prof. Em. Claude Hannoun, a founding father of ESWI, this prize celebrates outstanding research contributions in the field of respiratory viruses.

The Young Scientist Vaccine Innovation Award is an award supported by CSL Seqirus recognising exceptional research by a promising young scientist in the field of influenza vaccine development.

ESWI is pleased to announce that, with the support of Sanofi, we are launching the second edition of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Award.
Through the DEI Award, ESWI wishes to recognise five early career scientists in the field of acute respiratory viruses from under-represented communities and, in doing so, give them the opportunity to continue to show leadership in creating an inclusive research environment, valuing diverse perspectives.
